Month-end reconciliation took too long, owners asked for clearer statements, and managers could not see which fees were billed, collected, or overdue. They needed a product that could model management fees, recurring expenses, one-off costs, and owner payouts — with audit trails suitable for finance reviews. The team did not want a heavyweight ERP; they wanted a focused web app their operations staff would actually use. Delivery pressure was real: reporting season was approaching, and continuing on spreadsheets meant more errors and more owner friction.
